I have had a varied and interesting working life, but late in 2009 put myself through an entry level accounting course to make a career change. In 2010 I began working for a regional accounting firm with expertise in charity accounts and assurance work. This gave me the opportunity to progress and in 2014 I completed the AAT qualification. In the five years I worked at this firm I gained a wealth of experience of accounting and governance issues faced by charities and developed a love for the sector. As a committed Christian I also enjoyed the opportunity this gave me to work with and support a number of Christian organisations, one of which happened to be Eurovangelism, known as TEN.
The work done by so many Christian organisations, in fulfilment of the great commission that Jesus gave His Church, is always inspiring and when the opportunity to join TEN arose I knew this was the right move for me to make. TEN’s partners are amazing and my role in supporting and helping facilitate their activities, through the generous support of TEN’s donors, is one I take seriously—what a privilege it is to be a part of God’s story in this way!
I am married to Anna and have four beautiful children. We live and are part of a fellowship in East Bristol and love the diversity of life in this part of the city. I enjoy all sorts of sports, but excelled at football as a teenager; playing in trials for Everton FC as well as a game against the Welsh national side whilst part of the Bristol City school boys’ team. Now that I am a few years older, I simply enjoy a kick around in the park with the family!
