We are a passionate movement that for 50 years has been seeking transformation in what is probably, in terms of mission, the most overlooked continent on earth, Europe.
Christianity remains the largest religious affiliation in Europe, composed of Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant denominations and represents 76% of the population (Pew Research, 2011). Weekly church attendance has been in decline for a generation and now averages around 15% of those who call themselves Christians. Evangelical Christians are growing in strength, confidence and sense of identity, but represent only 2.5%* of Europeans. Much of this growth has come from an emphasis on discipleship, spiritual renewal, prayer movements and the use of the Alpha Course. (*Operation World)
