Milena Vulkanova got saved in 1990, when she was 17 years old. Because of her desire to know more about Jesus, his life and ministry, she decided to study at the Sofia Bible Institute in the capital city of Bulgaria. After her graduation, Milena and her husband, Alex, who had also graduated from SBI, committed themselves to full time ministry.
We were pastors for five years at our first Evangelical Pentecostal church and then pastors at another EPC in Bulgaria for 16 years. Since February 2017 we continue to serve God as pastors at EPC in Pazardjik, south-central part of the country with wider commitments. Milena leads worship and helps her husband’s ministry. She leads the children ministry and hopes to reach more children and youth for Jesus.
Milena coordinates the women’s ministry, visits and prays with the elderly and sick women in the hospital. As she serves among the married women, her deep desire is to strengthen them in their faith and in their roles as wives and mothers; which is a great blessing for to her. She also has in her heart a desire to help Roma children learn Bulgarian and English languages and to help those who are at school with their homework and to provide meals for them.
Milena and Alex have twin girls who are not identical. Their names are Emanuela and Tzvetelina. They are 14 years old now and they study at Math High School in Pazardjik. Our financial needs are for food, bills and for education for our children. We need a car. The old car is gone and when we need a car we have to rent it for us or for the ministry. Despite all the difficulties and intolerance to our evangelical faith and financial basic living needs, we are grateful we can serve God here in this area and believe for new generation in Christ!
