Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands…when the three hundred trumpets sounded, the Lord caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords. The army fled to Beth Shittah toward Zererah as far as the border of Abel Meholah near Tabbath.
TEN are putting on a conference for all our parters to enable, empower and equip those called to serve God across Europe Today. Have you ever met a church leader who is burnt out, discouraged and on their spiritual last legs? We have too, and it’s not a pretty sight. Trumpet of Gideon aims to boost the often exhausted, yet persevering church leaders of Eastern Europe, and we need your support.
Isn’t it wonderful how the above passage tells us of God’s power defeating a mighty foe?!? In the passage we read how the entire force of the eastern peoples – the Midianites, Amalekites etc. – had gathered together to crush the Israelites, and indeed it was an experience the Israelites had become used to. Their cry for help had not gone unheard, however, and God answered by calling and equipping Gideon to gather an elite army whose alertness, courage and faith God would use to bring victory!
We are looking for prayer warriors to commit to pray each day of the conference for a specific church leader who is attending. We want each person coming to know that they are loved and cared for by mature, praying Christian in the UK, and that their names are being brought before God daily. If you can be a Trumpet of Gideon prayer warrior for a week this autumn, please call the office.
Thank you for standing with God’s leaders across Europe. Together we can ensure that no church leaders feels alone and forgotten.
