For several years, Dragan and Biljana Manev have served in the pastoral work of the Evangelical Roma Church; which was planted among the Roma community of Veles, Macedonia. They have two young children, Daniel and Maria.
For Dragan and Biljana, sharing of the good news in Veles and Macedonia is their top priority. One of their favourite ways to evangelise is to use their puppet-show ministry.
Dragan explains, “My wife and I belong to Evangelical Church in Macedonia and our main focus is evangelism and planting new churches. We invest in discipleship and spend time in preparing new leaders who will be equipped to continue the work of God.”
As a family, they rented some accommodation and spent a month during last summer in the small town of Resen situated 160 km away in southwestern Macedonia. Resen has a population of 9,000 but has no any evangelical church. Around 75% of the residents are Orthodox and 25% Muslim. Their desire was to plant a church there.
Dragan reports, “It was a great experience for us, wonderful days of street evangelism, puppet shows and sharing God’s love with the people. By the grace of God three people from the town were baptised and a small fellowship of new believers is now continuing with the Lord.”
Dragan and Biljana were assisted in this outreach by Josip and his wife Biljana who pastor a church in the town of Bitola and are also TEN partners. They are now jointly visiting the new believers.
Resen is very much on Dragan’s heart and as a family they hope to relocate from Veles to Resen in June 2017. Please pray for them.
